Ray/Brian is a very strange pairing for me, so I'm glad I was able to find something to play on with those two. The whole Ray having too much to drink and hitting on Brian things was totally inspired by this video of Ray being a two beer queer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKJTKM_a_f0). I mean really. Ray. Gosh I am SO glad you liked Ink Without Needles. It was like, the last one I wrote and I was seriously starting to lose momentum by that point, but weirdly it sorta came out my favourite. I totally agree with you about Pete/Gerard, in some other universe they totally work together, there are two many brain-twin things going with those two.
I love that you quoted the end to me because I like how it turned out so much. Yeah I know it's sentimental and schmoopy but *shrugs* you are absolutely right that nothing less than a grand gesture would be considered do-able by Mr Wentz. So maybe it's him being the cheesy one! :D
