That was so kind of kat_lair to send you! Proper schmoper, it actually means a lot more that you were still able to enjoy the fic without the context of who the characters are supposed to be - that's the beauty of AUs!

Let me tell you, I WORRIED about the whole long section without sex, but there was so much more to cover before then. I'm so glad the plot held your attention, this is still officially the longest thing I've written so I'm glad it was the setup the story needed to make the relationships really sing.

"Pete, please tell me you did not just start an entire production company so that we can have sex." is a line that existed before the story was even written, I spent most of the fic working my way to the point where Patrick could say that!

On the very other hand the last little coda about the whiteboard was written well after the fic was finished, when I realised the whiteboard never actually got any closure so in went the coda.
