Okay, well, um, it does sort of make me understand the lesbians who read slash because lesbian smutfic is 'too close to home' becuase I was having so many little 'click' moments while reading this that I don't usually get with fic ever. Unless they're fic that's set in Australia, or a bakery. The 'I have also had this experience' click. Especially "this isn't fair, she should be helping, she should be doing something". Holy crap, do I understand. But also things like the filthy, messy, wet dirtiness of it all (I kind of want to shove this in the faces of people who tell me that lesbian sex isn't really sex) the comparisons between their bodies that Gee was making in her mind, all the sensual details, especially the smell (why does that seem like such a negative word to type? Smell is not disgusting) the sense that Gee doesn't totally understand her body and her limits, because nobody ever tells you what that's going to be like, and that moment they both had when it gets too much and you make someone stop.
I love it in terms of characterisation, too. One of the hottest things about this, for me, was how Gee doesn't like her body but Lindsey looks at her like she's the sexiest thing ever. She won't let her put her shirt back on! It's adorable! And Gee doesn't really know what she's doing and there's that awkward moment where she can't get the right angle and Lindsey is all WANT and Gee is NOT DOING IT RIGHT (click, me and my anxiety about my lack of experience again) but then she figures out how to do it and... gets a mouthful of hair. OF COURSE.
