Author's Notes: I am not sure if I have enough words to express how much I love this mix, but dammit I'm gonna try! The Cramps are on this mix, you guys THE FUCKING CRAMPS, okay? But even putting aside my deep and abiding love for artists like The Cure, Iggy Pop, Tears For Fears and Muse, the songs themselves are so frighteningly perfect for the story.

Bad Body Double ties in beautifully with Frank & Fun Ghoul. Search and Destroy - the song that inspired the quote that inspired Frank's tattoo, but even if it DIDN'T, the lyrics are so perfectly Killjoys-esque "I am the world's forgotten boy, the one who searches to destroy". Here's Your Future by The Thermals is such a perfect and fitting track for Frank's reactions to 2019. Every single time I hear the opening of Baba O'Riley I just want to shake and cry, it is so fucking perfect. I Miss You is such a special song to me, and now I will forever associate with this fic, with Frank missing Gerard, with Gerard missing Ghoul. And Mad World by Tears For Fears "familiar faces - worn out places - worn out faces", it just sums up the world so well.

Lovesong by The Cure is totally THE love song for this fic, and on top of that I've loved this song forever and I would NEVER have thought to associate it with this story if it hadn't been on this mix. Last but definitely not least, rachelriott finished off with Butterflies and Hurricanes by Muse! Another song I adore but would never have thought to put with this fic but it's just so PERFECT for where Frank is at the end. I just.
