I guess I'm riffing a little on John Connor in Terminator 2, the idea of him knowing what was coming and trying to avoid it - could he ever really believe that they DID? I can't imagine he'd give on having the vaults as insurance.

I'm really happy I wrote this part too, in some ways I didn't really know what happened myself until I put this out.
