Oh man, getting to write Scene!slut Mikey for this fic was SO MUCH FUN. I LOVE that characterisation of Mikey and even though the mix didn't call for a misunderstanding as such, once I got the idea in my head of Gee thinking Mikey and Frankie had hooked up I could NOT get it out of my head. (Even when I hadn't decided on Frank being Frankie I still had it in mind, because Mikey totally doesn't discriminate between pretty boys and girls.)
Of course Frankie wouldn't slut shame! More power to the promiscuous!
I love that they just don't STOP, they keep going, and it's clearly one of those nights where you just can't sleep because everything else is SO MUCH MORE EXCITING THAN SLEEP and there is a really gorgeous person RIGHT THERE, and just. You captured that SO FUCKING WELL.

There's this quote that I can't find right now, but it's from some interview with Ellen and Portia where they say something along the lines for their first date was dinner and a movie then they went home and made love for 24 hours (something like that, I'm paraphrasing) but that was totally the feeling I was going for, when it's new and AMAZING and you're just so insatiable for this person, right?
And the ENDING and PENCEY PREP and the image of Frankie in TAFFETA and COMBAT BOOTS, seriously, I cannot even.
The fic originally ended with the "I'm so weird thing" but I just kind of WANTED that epilogue. And my beta was like "why are you adding an epilogue, you don't need one?" but i REALLY REALLY wanted Frankie in taffeta and combat boots, okay? REALLY REALLY. I'm so glad it worked for you and it wasn't to schmaltzy, because ugh, it all felt so SELF INDULGENT, but I just WANTED IT.
God girl, thank you SO MUCH. I was SO unsure about this fic and so worried about making it work not only because the mix was so awesome but also to make it work as a genderswap fic and as YOU are someone who writes awesome genderswap and you REALLY love the mix - so you loving it SO is like the biggest compliment ever.
