Danger Days listening party - Y/MFY?

halfeatenmoon pointed out that I will be in Sydney on the 22nd November, which, as most of my flist knows, is the release date for MCR's new album.

SO WHO'S UP FOR A SYDNEY BASED LISTENING PARTY?

If I get good response to this post, I will do a proper locked post with details and stuff when I'm not jetlagged to fuck and have real Internet (I am writing this on my iPhone and yes I should totally be sleeping RN) but I just wanted to put it out there. Interstaters check flight costs! Locals clear your schedules!

If you can be in Sydney on Monday 22nd October and would like to listen to the new album in the company of fellow fangirls, raise your hand. (FYI, I must insist all participants be 18+) I'm thinking of just Wotif-ing a hotel room for it, which will double as a crashpad for interstaters.

Feel free to signal boost if you have awesome Aussie Bandom friends, since I think the number of Aussies on my flist is shockingly low.

Ha well given the last minuteness of it all it will likely end up being just you and me ~~having a pillowfight in our underwear~~ listening to the boys. I AM TOTALLY FINE WITH THIS POSSIBLE OUTCOME. As to times? What do you reckon? Most hotels won't let you check in before 2pm, so around then? When are flights the cheapest? I'm flexible!

I can definitely try to get a flight around midday to get in around then. Should I stay Tuesday night as well? I'd like to stay for two nights but I'm wary of imposing given I have literally nowhere else to stay and nothing else to do in Sydney. Although I can get into the Zoo for free. That's nto a bad way to spend a day.

oops forgot I have work on the 24th. I'll see if I can talk my sister into swapping with me when she gets back from her party, though.

I only just got home from work, where my boss didn't leave till 4 even though her shift ended at 1, and me at the other girl put on Get Born really loud because a) we both love Jet and b) my boss is 62 and we thought loud music would make her leave. But instead she said "Oh, is this Jet? My daughter used to teach their younger brothers at preschool" and then started telling me long stories about feuds in the Cester family. LOL WHAT.

btw we can actually have pillowfights in our underwear, right? After we listen to the boys. And if we have time we should watch Two Hands. :D

AHAHAHAHA my mother reminded me that the 23rd is her wedding anniversary just as I was looking at flights. To be fair, my parents have never once in twenty five years invited me to their anniversary dinners, but I guess they decided this year was special. So I have to be home for dinner on the 23rd. But we can still partly on the 23rd and listen to the boys and pillowfight etc. You probably got the email about the box set delays and the download and everything, but I figure if the download's available on the everning of the 21st US time, that's still the 22nd here.

I'm about to go check out Wotif and I'll have some solid info soon, I just wanted to let you know I'm still planning on it.

Also we should totally watch Two Hands, and make it a Heath Ledger doubleplay by following up with 10 Things I Hate About You or an Awesome Aussie Films doubleplay by teaming it with Gettin' Square. I am happy with either of these outcomes. \o/

I completely understand replies being hard to keep up with right now! I can't even imagine how you got over the jetlag. I'm just gonna bring whatever awesome movies and CDs and crap I can jam in my backpack and cool shit will happen. I'll book my flights sometime today when I'm done with this nightmare of a final essay that I wish would just die. But planning this keeps my spirits up at least. \o/
