Also, I should point out that, according to Kerrang, while Gerard is the head and Ray is the brains, apparently Frank is the GUTS and HEART of MCR. That's just lovely, Kerrang.

Secondly, I was recently introduced to a wonderful little interview that Frank and Mikey did when they were in Australia and I am 99.9% sure that Wil Anderson is one of the interviewers (he used to host on TripleM, right?) which just makes it AWESOMER.

Can we take a moment to talk about how Mikey's idea of being an over-the-top Rockstar is to ask for TAB on their rider? Just to see if they still make it anymore, even though it tastes like "licking the outside of a packet of Sweet and Low"? And drinking SEVERAL CANS of it anyway because he feels so much GUILT that some poor soul from catering has to buy a WHOLE SHELF OF IT?

Or how about how he went to a Horror Movie Convention once - it's where "geeks go to buy movie posters" so it's apparently a place for him Frankie (yes he calls him FRANKIE) to hang out - and he got REALLY DRUNK and he BOUGHT A SPIDER. AN ACTUAL SPIDER. He started this piece out by saying he had a REALLY FUNNY STORY. Frank DOES NOT stories about spiders are funny. HE DOES NOT.

Also, I find it hilarious that Frank loves Australia but he's horrified by our giant killer spiders.

They are both so high on sugar and Mikey talks and laughs SO MUCH and Frank is SO ADD and they are just being BEFFIE DORKS OF DORKTOWN and ILTHEM.

Okay, I'm going to throw in this one too, even though EVERYONE has seen it before me:

I love how much Mikey talks in this. And how TOTALLY in agreement he and Gerard are on EVERYTHING. And how they are SUCH fanboys for SO MANY things. BB!Ways playing Star Wars with whatever they could put their hands on - MY HEART. NGL, I find it fascinating that they were playing movies on a loop in the studio. I am so curious to know which ones. It's such utterly fannish behaviour.

Yes Mikey, Jean Claude Van Damne is TOTALLY underrated. And Gerard has a point, Chuck Norris it getting too trendy.

True. You need to watch out for the little ones with the pretty red decorations, don't mind that big hairy one he's harmless.

And I AM lazy, is the thing! So it's fitting!

Also, the pointy one's with the white stipe - like a bleached red-back... those are nasty.

We could always take the stand that it's not lazy, it's efficient.

I love how efficient turns lazy into something good.:D

The Triple M Sydney interview is one of my MOST FAVORITES OF ALL TIIIIIIIIIME. Mikey is so FUNNY! I didn't know Mikey could BE that funny until that interview! I am ALWAYS quoting lines from this interview, but it's JUST THAT GOOD. There was SO MUCH quoting of this when Sally and I went to the horror con a few months ago and I was trying to convince her to buy a bat in a glass case.

(FULL COLOR PLASMA SCREEN SPIDER. I'm sure Australia is lovely but for real, everything there is HUGE AND POISONOUS AND WANTS TO KILL YOU.)

And omg, that Q&A with Mikey and Gee! Also a fave! Mikey's faaaaace when they get the David Bowie or Freddie Mercury question. "DUUUDE THAT'S SO HARD!" <33333333

You went to a horror con! That's where geeks go! And not EVERYTHING in Australia wants to kill you, just a lot of things. And if you get bitten by a funnel web you've got like 36 hours to get to the hospital for anti-venom. Nothing to panic about.

Re: your masterlist, in my experience people scan for band, then pairing, then fic. So I would suggest breaking everything up into pairing categories, THEN 'verses, then one-shots in chronological order. If fics from the same 'verse have different pairings I'd put them in their pairing group and then make a note/link to the 'verse.

LOTS of Toro. I had to put all those hotass photos somewhere. :D

I totally get what you're saying and I haven considered that as an option, it's just that MOST of my 'verses have multiple pairings, so they'll be scattered everywhere. It can't stay the way it is though, it's so muddled. I actually write a LOT of different pairings.

This is where AO3 makes it so much easier.

I decide to read a fic based on the summary first. Therefore I think you should have fewer summaries that start with 'the one where' and tell me more about what happens in the fic than 'these people have sex' or 'they all work at a pizza place'.

HOWEVER, in my experience most people decide to read fic based on the pairing and whether there is porn, in which case your summaries are fine.

I have no idea about what order to put things in. I hate my masterlist. For this reason I'm considering abandoning fic posting on LJ and just directing people to AO3 for everything so then people can sort the list however they want.

I CANNOT believe you had never listened to that Frank and Mikey interview before! It's HANDS DOWN my favourite MCR footage, even more than LOTMS, just... it's SO THEM. It's a perfect example (in my opinion, although OBVIOUSLY I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW THEM) of how great it can be to just see them interacting with each OTHER more than with an interviewer, talking about the shit THEY want to talk about... perfect for characterization! I listened to it on repeat all through January when I was writing Frank/Mikey :D :D

UGH and PLASMA SCREEN SPIDERS and Gerard has been waiting his whole life to supply those dance moves and THAT WAS THE FUNNY STORY YOU WANTED TO TELL? and yes yes yes when Mikey calls him FRANKIE, the way his voice breaks on it, it makes me SO HAPPY.
