turps33 is collecting pictures over here in this post. You really need to see all the images to appreciate the sheer RIDICULOUSNESS of Vampire Surfer Toro in his shorts, Joan of Arc Gerard, Frank's totally not-obvious Chucky from Child's Play costume, Mikey as Jason from Halloween and Dewees as the MCR Dog. (No one was surprised).
I'm sure all of this costume shenannery has PLENTY to do with Frank's tweet yesterday about the dimestore costume that looks a lot like a TBP uniform. I mean, come on, that photo was TOTALLY taken on a band costume-shopping spree, while Mikey was holding up a Jason costume in one hand and a wrestler unitard in the other, and Gerard couldn't decide between the fairy princess and the "dark knight" and Frank was like WTF! I am TWEETING this shit. Meanwhile Ray was off wandering around the DVD section and missed choosing anything, so he just improvised with Frank's dracüla cape and one ofkopperblaze's shirts turned inside out. (I don't care if that last part is true or not. I refuse to believe otherwise.)
In ADDITION to this (as if this wasn't ALREADY enough), I woke up this morning to THIS TWEET from Ray:
Okay so he spelled Rayden wrong, but OMG, he is talking about that ridiculous Mortal Kombat movie from '95 which they are now apparently going to remake next year with James Remar as Rayden this time around. (WTF HOLLYWOOD? Get a new idea.)
But omg COME ON. Ray, BE MORE OF A FILM NERD. Christopher Lambert as Rayden! Who was HILARIOUSLY miscast in the 1995 version, but let's face it, Lambert is hilariously miscast in about 90 percent of his movies. The best one being Highlander where he's a Frenchman playing a Scot, cast alongside Sean Connery - a Scot playing a Spanish/Egyptian! And Sean's there the whole movie talking quite happily in his broad Scottish brogue about "Haggis? What is haggis?" while Lambert struggles along with his TERRIFYINGLY BAD fake Scottish accent.
It's the MOST RIDICULOUS piece of casting in any film, ever.
God, I love that movie.
Almost as much as I love RAY BEING AN UTTER FILM NERD. Come into my cutting room Ray! Let's talk about nineties movies! Tell me all your thoughts about EDITING and NERDERY. HIIIIIIIIIIIII.
In other news, I am still banging away at fills for The Timestamp Meme. If you requested something, and I haven't posted a fill yet, I am ON IT, it's just taking mea million years a little longer than I expected because I keep writing actual STORIES, instead of the notfic I planned.

And oh MAN I have all the feelings about the original Highlander movie, and let's not forget the totally KICKASS Queen soundtrack with such hits as Don't Lose Your Head and Princes of the Universe. Fuck I love that movie.
Oh god you're SO RIGHT about the Bill and Ted Joan of Arc thing. OMG, he is the PRETTIEST SAINT.
