I was so SO excited to receive this mix. Apparently it wasn't enough for
b_dsaint to introduce me to the wonderful world of semi colons and help me beat this fic into shape with her amazing wand of intelligence, she also had to make me this insanely awesome mix! And look at the art! Make sure you click through to the large version of the front cover - it's really worth it.It's so perfect, from the Action! Action! of Brighter Brightest, to Gerard's meltdown in Here We Go. She even included Super Hero # 5! For Gerard in his waistcoat-and-tie ensemble! Sunset Strip Bitch is so incredibly Pete - the horrorscope today said things would go my way - it's so full of attitude and the motts, just like Pete, as is Superstar and don't even get me started on how That Thing You Do is Pete's serenade to Patrick - I / Know all the games you play / And I'm gonna find a way to let you know that / You'll be mine someday - it's like the lines are coming right out of Pete's head.
And there's Papa Roach! Gerard's resolve is spelled out in Stop Looking Start Seeing - I have climbed these walls before / And I'm not scared anymore / There's a time to lead and a time to follow / Because I won't take this anymore and all of his old baggage with Placebo's Special Needs.
Alien Ant Farm's Movies, is possibly the best track on the whole mix (I say possibly, because I really am in love with it all). It just fits so well on so many levels - I want you to be free / Don't worry about me / And just like the movies / We play out our last scene
Better Things is absoutely the song of the Premiere and you guys - YOU GUYS, she chose the end credits song for the UA movie! I know, it's impressive! Someone call Universal - I'm alive / And I don't need a witness / To know that I survived / I'm not looking for forgiveness / Yeah, I just need light / I need light in the dark / As I search for the resolution
Of course the bonus LOL song is completely LOLtacular - if a treeeeeee / falls in the forest / does anybody hear? - Please tell me someone else out there gets the joke...?
All in all a fantastic mix and I just can't stop listening to it!
