Famous Last Words

Well, it was technically my Bandomversary yesterday, but I was too busy to post about it. But hey - I have been obsessing about MCR for an ENTIRE year now and what a year it's been! I have read a lot of awesome fic, I have written more words of prose than any other year of my entire life. I wrote TWO big bangs and actually finished them and everything (this totally would not have happened if not for dancinbutterfly and b_dsaint. ALL THE HEARTS to you.). I've met so many awesome people and amazing writers through this fandom, it's been such an incredible year.

Total word count since October 1 2009: 205 307 words (This is actual posted fic only, doesn't include all the WIPs I have lying around, which would add at least another 50k.)

HOLY CRAP. Who'd have thought a bunch of tiny, adorable rockstars would be so damn inspiring? And I'm fairly certain a large portion of that number is porn. Well, pretty damn certain.

Apparently the universe is set on being awesome today, because I got PRESENTS.

podklb just posted her podfic of This Might Get Messy, Kids. She gave me a preview of it a while back and I love it TO DEATH. It's such a great reading of the story, she really harnessed the attitude and energy I was going for, and her dialogue delivery is fantastic. Check it out, and don't forget to leave feedback!

This is the first actual pre-album crazy thing I have been around for (my last band-based fandom I showed up after the last album was made, so I never got to experience this kind of crazy first hand) and I FUCKING MISSED IT. I feel like the last girl to show up at the orgy, smell of sex and sweat everywhere, and a bunch of fucked out people all passed out and too tired to comment.

So, this isn't a squee post about the trailer (the amazing, amazing trailer) because I doubt I have anything to say that hasn't already been said ad infinitum (OMG FRANK'S FACE FINALLY OMFG, GEE'S CRAZY BEAUTIFUL AMAZING STUPID RED HAIR, AND HIS WIGGLY WIGGLY ASS AND HIS NAKED AND GIRLY SHOULDERS, AND RAY LICKING HIS FINGERS AND WEARING SHIT-HOT AVIATORS AND MIKEY'S FUCKING HOT-LIKE-BURNING BLONDE HAIR, HIS HAAAAIR AND HIS FUCKING NINTENDO GLOVE AND POLKA DOTTED LADYBOYS ON ROLLER SKATES AND THEM LINING UP LIKE IN THE INOK VIDEO AND THE SONG IS SO FUCKING CATCHY AND THIGH HOLSTERS THIGH HOLSTERS!! But hey, let's talk about how MCR are gonna be in Edinburgh on the 25th October! And guess who is going to be in GLASGOW on the 25th of October? THE FUCKING BLACK CARDS that's who. You know, PETE'S NEW BAND. So he'll be like, an hour away from MIKEY and they are touring Europe at THE SAME TIME. IS THIS A COINCIDENCE? *adjusts tin hat*
